General Rules and Regulations
GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
- Officials and Association members ONLY will be allowed in the Hall during judging. the Fair opening to public at 12 noon.
- All entries with the exception of livestock will be accepted FRIDAY, August 23, 2022 from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M..
Livestock must be brought in on Saturday before 9:00 A.M. LIVESTOCK MUST BE PRE-REGISTERED BY AUGUST 5. - Exhibits are NOT to be removed until 2:00 P.M. on Fair day.
- Entry Fees: 50¢ per entry – Adult (17 & over); 25¢ per entry – Children (16 & under)
- Exhibitors are not allowed more than ONE entry in any one class with the exception of arts, crafts, needlework, potted plants, wine and beer, and all open classes where a maximum of 2 entries will be allowed.
- Entries must be the work of the exhibitor.
- Hand made entries must be finished since the last Fall Fair. Food entries must be made since August 2023.
- In the absence of competition in any one class, the judges will give ONLY such award as they deem worthy and no ribbon will be awarded if in the opinion of the judges the exhibit is not of sufficient merit. The decision of the judges will be final.
- Flowers, fruit & vegetables MUST be correctly named in variety or points will be lost.
- No commercial mixes to be used in the baking section.
- Entry tags must be attached to each exhibit and are not to be removed before closing of the Fair.
- Fair Officials will not be responsible for the loss to any exhibitor occasioned by fire, theft, accident, negligence on the part of the officials, other exhibitors, etc., but every care will be taken to protect them as much as possible.
- All protests must be given to Fair Officials in writing the day of the Fair.
- Exhibits shall not be priced or sold while on display, including livestock.
- No claim for injury to any person or property shall be asserted or suit instituted or maintained against the Horsefly Fall Fair Association or its members or directors by or on behalf of any exhibitor, licensee, invitee, visitor or any other persons, firms or corporations or their agents, representatives, servants or employees, entering into or upon the premises or grounds of the Horsefly Fall Fair to visit or exhibit in that area or occupying any space thereon.
- Open Class is only for where there is no category already listed.
- There will be a charge of $20.00 for N.S.F. cheques.
